Privacy Policy & Legal Notice
Effective Date: December 30, 2025
1. Introduction
RoastReady.io ("we", "us") operates as a technical audit service. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This policy outlines how we handle data when you use our website, our Chrome Extension, or our embedded tools.
2. Chrome Extension Privacy (Specific)
If you install the RoastReady Chrome Extension, we prioritize your privacy by design:
- Single Purpose: The extension only activates when you click the icon or "Scan" button.
- Data Transmitted: We only transmit the URL of the active tab to our servers to perform the audit.
- No History Tracking: We do NOT collect your browsing history, cookies, or passwords. Your "Recent Scans" list is stored locally on your device (Client-Side Storage) and is never sent to us.
3. Data We Collect & How We Use It
When you submit a URL, our engine scrapes the public HTML of that page. We do not access private databases or backend code.
If you choose to download a full report, we collect your email address. This is stored securely via Supabase to deliver your report.
4. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Disclosure
We utilize LLMs (e.g., Google Gemini) to analyze text. By using this service, you acknowledge:
- Your website's public text is processed via secure API calls.
- We do not use your submitted data to train public AI models.
- The "Trust Score" is an algorithmic estimation, not a legal certification.
5. Third-Party Infrastructure
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with necessary infrastructure providers:
- Supabase: Database & Auth (GDPR Compliant).
- Vercel: Hosting & Edge Functions.
- Google Cloud: AI Processing.
